Every key moment, with the real clip, on its line

4:2916:9, 4K9 parts

Hi Narin, I went back to your storyline line by line.

Before I buy a single clip, here is every key moment of the film with the real footage I plan to use, placed on its line in the song. The lines you marked are marked here too, with a gold frame.

The pictures are library previews, so some carry a watermark. The film itself will be 4K.

Tap any picture to watch that clip moving on the library’s own page.

What I changed

1

Opening, flying in

Intro · from 0:00

“We are flying. Over a city, low, then rising, then down toward a large house with a tree in its grounds.”

One long, slow flight with no cuts, so you settle into the air before anything happens. The last shot of the film mirrors this one.

The house of mine

Verse 1 · from 0:12

“Keep this section earthbound and contained. No aerials here.”

Tight, indoor, no sky. His household runs around him, his things, his table. Then the crumb, then the news, then the bird leaves.

Out into the open

Pre-chorus 1 · from 0:59

“Tann, mann, tunn: here, seen from the air, they belong to the world rather than to any person.”

The first time we are in the air since the opening. Long holds, in the order of the words, never cut on the words.

Reverence

Chorus 1 · from 1:27

“People gathered together seen as a whole rather than as individuals. The small human gesture, then the enormous world.”

People praying together, cut against the biggest landscapes in the film. Long holds, never cut on the beat.

The awakening

Verse 2 · from 1:42

“Same bird, same food, opposite hand.”

Back to the man, in the garden. The same bird comes back and eats from his hand. Then the office window at sunset, one unbroken shot across both lines.

Walking with nothing

Pre-chorus 2 · from 2:29

“We cut straight from the city at sunset into the woods.”

The same three words, now one man. Bare feet, his eyes lifting, then he looks back at the city far below and walks on.

Reverence to the world

Chorus 2 · from 2:55

“Not to a building and not to an idol; to everything.”

He stops in the open and bows. Small in the frame, the land towering around him. The only moment he is completely still.

The true trade

Verse 3 · from 3:09

“He is already in position as the line begins; we should not be watching him arrive.”

A different man in the same world, walking to the sea. At the water's edge his hands go up and stay up, then he turns into the sun.

The ending

Final chorus · from 3:36

“Big, big, big, then nothing at all, held far longer than comfortable.”

His hands stay up through every 'kya mera'. Then he runs into the sea, clothed, in slow motion, and goes under. The bird watches. Dark water. Dawn. The bird lifts off and we rise, like the opening.

Three moments I could not find as real footage

  1. 0:33, the hand that waves the bird off the table. I have the pigeon landing on the table and flying off, but no clip where a hand drives it away.
  2. 1:53, bread from his hand. Pigeons eating from a hand exist, but always with grain, not bread.
  3. 3:16, righting a fallen plant. I found nothing real.

I know you would rather avoid AI, so I am asking first. For these three short moments only, would you be OK with AI? I would make them super realistic and match them to the real footage around them, so they blend in and you won't notice the difference. If not, I will use the closest real clips, like the ones shown here.
